Ai Ishida Melby

Violinist, Violist

The daughter of two musicians in the New Japan Philharmonic, Ai grew up in Tokyo where she studied viola at the Tokyo National University of Fine Arts and Music. She later continued her studies at Northern Illinois University, working with the Vermeer Quartet and winning the school’s viola concerto competition.

Ai has performed with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, served as principal violist of the Civic Orchestra of Chicago, and was a founding member of the Kontras Quartet. Her career has taken her around the world, including performances at the Schleswig-Holstein Music Festival, the Norfolk Chamber Music Festival, and the Pacific Music Festival.

Since relocating to Las Vegas, Ai regularly performs with the Las Vegas Philharmonic and the Las Vegas Sinfonietta. Her diverse musical background includes collaborations with artists such as the Kruger Brothers, Branford Marsalis, Yo-Yo Ma, Marco Antonio Solís, Adele, and Lady Gaga.

ALEXANDR DZYUBINSKY

Violinist

Born in Kishinev, Moldova, Mr. Dzyubinsky began violin at six and made his orchestral debut at age ten with the Moldova Symphony Orchestra, performing the Kabalevsky Violin Concerto. After moving to the United States, he continued his studies at the Lucy Moses School in New York and was later accepted to the Juilliard School on a full scholarship, completing both undergraduate and graduate degrees under Professors Masao Kawasaki and Sylvia Rosenberg. He has performed with the Charleston Symphony, the Aalborg Symphony in Denmark, and now appears regularly with the Las Vegas Philharmonic while teaching through the FAYM organization.

MERT SERMET

Cellist

Mert Sermet is a versatile cellist with the Las Vegas Philharmonic and a graduate of the New England Conservatory of Music and Vanderbilt University. He is also the co‑founder of the electric cello duo BRIDGE. His career spans classical, pop, Latin, and country genres, with performances ranging from Carnegie Hall under Daniel Barenboim to the Grand Ole Opry with Big & Rich. In Las Vegas, Mert has performed in major productions including The Lion King, Phantom, Cheap Trick, Showstoppers, Frankie Moreno, Frank the Man the Music, and Adele. His collaborations include artists such as Natalie Cole, Nelly Furtado, Carlos Santana, Smokey Robinson, Stevie Wonder, The Who, the Eagles, and Andrea Bocelli. Mert is a former New Horizon Fellowship recipient at the Aspen Music Festival, where he spent three summers performing alongside leading classical musicians.

BRANDON BUCKMASTER

Violist

Brandon Buckmaster is an accomplished violinist with a Master’s degree in Music Performance from the Peabody Conservatory. His career spans solo, chamber, and orchestral work, including performances with the Las Vegas Philharmonic. Brandon’s international experience includes engagements in Japan, Sweden, Spain, Canada, and Mexico, where audiences have praised his expressive playing and technical refinement. An avid traveler and hiker, he draws artistic inspiration from global cultures and natural landscapes. Now based in Las Vegas, Brandon is committed to expanding the reach of classical music through dynamic performances and collaborative work across the city’s vibrant arts community.
